    My story is a simple one. I walked into the SCF gym two years ago, and I honestly have never looked back. I am stronger, healthier and fitter than I was in my 20s. CrossFit is for everyone, no matter what ability. People are sometimes intimidated by CrossFit, but the reality is, once you step into this world, it is the least intimidating gym experiences out there.

    SCF is one of the best. The people and the coaches are all from different backgrounds and walks of life, but when we come together in the box and work out, we are a community. The coaching has been amazing, with a fantastic program that keeps us both motivated and interested. It is specific and targeted to get results. Coaches work with athletes to develop core skills, nurture our strengths and build on weaknesses. In this respect, it is up to the athlete to take it as far as they want.

    Overall health and lifestyle advice is readily available. The workouts can be challenging, but they are scaled appropriately for you. I love the fact I can go in and work out next to a 6-foot-tall guy and still hold my head high!

    The camaraderie is a wonderful bonus of this gym, as this is not something I had come across before. The best workouts have often been the ones that I have been the last to finish, as it really doesn’t matter where you come time wise, but that we all cheer for each other, and that is what makes me come back for more. This is such a great gym to be part of.

    After years of working out at gyms & playing sports, I wanted to try something different. CrossFit had scared me, but a friend suggested I try it with her. I’m so so pleased I did. I joined SCF two years ago and I’ve never been fitter or stronger, and each day I go, I know there is a new exciting challenge to try. The coaches are great at teaching new skills & encouraging you to dig a little deeper but at the same time appreciating the level you’re at. I’ve met some fantastic people, as it’s also a fun community where we cheer each other on.

    I wanted to offer my thanks for what you and your team do at Sasquatch CrossFit. Much clearly goes into the facilities, coaches, and the programming. I’ve been participating in CF a little over 2 years. Coming from a high level of athletics, followed by life without significant fitness elements, my initial “wants” for programming were clear: technical training, challenging programming, and a solid and supportive environment. I’ve also sought a box with a solid Oly program, nutritional coaching and resourcing of meals.

    Dave and Katie are solid Oly lifters in their own right – being able to perform as an athlete and then coach don’t always go hand in hand. Jason has done a great job explaining the science behind nutrition as well as providing great meals. It’s helped both with performance and recovery.

    Having been to several boxes, not all my wants were always present – at best it was hit and miss. The coaching at Sasquatch has always been as technical as I’ve needed, and there is clear and thoughtful explanation for everything you do. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the depth and breadth of knowledge each coach brings to the movements and progressions. Challenging, friendly competition, in a supportive and welcoming environment, describes your box. When the hardest thing about CF is simply walking in, you all make this easy. It’s appreciated.

    I have a 1.5 year old and a desk job, so getting to the gym is always a challenge! After I delivered my son in February 2017, I was 150 pounds!!! I decided in May 2018 when Sasquatch CrossFit did the jacked and tan challenge that I would participate to help get me back on track!! From May-August I’ve done my best to attend CrossFit 2-3x a week and eat for my macros the best I can!! This morning, I weighed 126 pounds!!! Although CrossFit can be intimidating, the coaches are amazing at finding the right adjustments and modifications to make sure you are comfortable and safe no matter your fitness level, experience, or even when you are pregnant!
